Carbon is the 2017 Oxford Brookes Fine Art Degree Show, representing the achievements of 42 students over the last 3-5 years. Although not a retrospective, Carbon represents everything we have learnt and practiced during our time at Oxford Brookes University.
Covering a breadth of themes and contemporary issues, Carbon celebrates the artists we have become during our time as fine art students. Encompassing artworks in mediums as diverse as film, animation, sculpture, painting, performance and the art of Japanese dorodango, this exhibition represents an incredibly multi-faceted group of fledgling artists. Under the collective name of Artists of the House Brookes, we have taken a journey together that culminates on May 12th, 2017, when Carbon opens its doors to the public.
Now, we invite you to join us for the final chapter of our journey to becoming fine art graduates. By supporting us, you provide us with essential financial means to erect what we hope will be the greatest degree show ever seen at Oxford Brookes - which, for the first time ever, will boast a fully-fledged public engagement programme (ooh!). What's more, you'll be helping us on our way to exhibiting at Free Range, which takes place at the Old Truman Brewery in London between 06-11 July, 2017.
We are extremely grateful for any support you can offer us. As a thank you, we have various rewards to dish out; please donate as generously as you are able to, and we invite you to share this page with your friends, too. Your support really makes a difference, and there aren't enough character spaces in this box to put into words how much that assistance means to us.
Our preferred platform is Crowdfunder, but we're also on GoFundMe if you'd like to reach out to us on there. Please find both links below. We are enormously grateful for anything you can offer, and you'll find we offer a few perks to say thanks.
